Consolidated Coaching Colleges provides tutoring services throughout the Melbourne and Geelong areas and has been doing so for over 45 years. Most of our tutoring is provided in students' homes, on a one-to-one basis. If students prefer, alternative arrangements can be made for tutoring at other locations.

Consolidated has a large bank of tutors available to help students, covering all disciplines from primary to lower secondary to VCE levels. These are qualified and currently working teachers in "mainstream" subjects such as English, Mathematics, Sciences, Languages and the Humanities, and specialising in VCE studies.

We also have tutors who are qualified in other specific disciplines where personal or business experience is just as critical as teaching qualification or experience.

This applies in such areas as computing subjects, literacy and language skills, which can often be the main need of students even at VCE level. It also applies to special situations like scholarship and entrance exam preparation.

Tutoring for entrance exams includes not just secondary school and university entrances, but also to the professions and public and armed services.

Often we find that students only seek outside help at the last minute, and while there is no doubt that even one hour of tutoring can sometimes be beneficial, better results will certainly be achieved if the tutoring is planned well in advance.

It can then be used as one element in the student's study programme, and it is in that format that tutors can work best to bring out the best in the student.
